man, i am sick of democrats and republicans. to me, their two sides of the same coin. they sing the same tune, but disagree about the words, and we are not even represented. they have really made our democracy a hypocracy that stops at the polls. that's y we need different parties that focus on humanity first, corporate business later. im sick of big brother hiding under the mask of "democracy" when he's a pure fascist. we need to reform our corupt system. that's why im a democratic socialist. we all need to participate in government more, and throw out the corrupt republicrats, and think about the welfare of the many, instead of the selfish whims of the upper ruling class that is a parasite on our society, and drains tahe average man of his work. they eat from the harvest, but do not plant the seeds or do the reaping. they are pigs that grow fat on our laborm and shape our country by their whims and their interpretation. im sick of them, and still big brother seeks greater controll.

Dude, I like you am sick of this. Sadly, I am afraid your misplaced rage may have led to the wrong conclusion. You already live in a country that practices democratic socialism, but let's dig into it even deeper. Politicians can be just as corrupt in a communist govenment as they can in a democracy. I know you are probably thinking to yourself, "Hey, is said democratic socialist, not communist.", so we will have to agree on a middle ground, "communist light". Thats right folks get the all new communist light with more of the welfare, and half the dictators. The fact is that capitalism and socialism can exist together, but not for a long period of time. The problems that our country faces do not exist, because of capitalism. They exist becuase of the draining effect that socialism has on the capitalist system. The great welfare experiment over the past seventy years, has been a disaster for our country. It has led to a huge growth in government, and this has led to the huge govenment needing more and more money. Thus more and more taxes for hard working americans. Yet despite a huge government funneling money from the rich to the poor, the gap between the two still get larger. The reason for this is because the very notion of welfare counteracts the human spirit. Humans work hard when they are forced to by necessity. When we take away that necessity we take away a primary motivator to work hard. Capitalism is meant for the human condition, becuase it rewards those that "capitalize" off of what they have learned from the tough experiences in their lives. Having said all of this, you are right about the need for a new government. What enrages me is that the conditions that most americans live under today (high taxes, welfare state, political corruption) are the same as they were when the signers of the Decleration of the Independence decided to have there own little revolution. We need to shut down the government, end all social programs, get rid of the current politcians, and impose a pure democracy with term limits and a tax system does that not allow government growth.

Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

It's time for another American Revolution. But we're too preoccupied with our maxxed-out credit cards; $3.00-a-gallon fuel for our $60,000 SUVs; Britney Spears' love life; "low prices - everyday" at WalMart for junk we don't need; professional landscaping for our $300,000.00 houses; Jacko's pedophilia; and the latest rankings of our favorite baseball teams.
Until we get off the couch, put down the remote and actually DEMAND our country back, nothing will change. Politicians will continue to enrich themselves, sucking off the taxpayers' teat without giving one iota about taxpayers' concerns.
Our politicians are the most corrupt, evil, common whores in the world, accepting bribes (disguised as campaign contributions) and then serving the interests of lobbyists, special interest groups, wealthy elitists, and big business.
Like lobsters comfortably languishing in a pot of lukewarm water, we won't start screaming until the water starts to boil. Then we'll scream in agony over our own apathy.
Voting isn't an option - only revolution. Vote crooked Republicans out of office, and we only replace them with crooked Democrats. The "Republicrats" have a stranglehold on our political system which they've deliberately made complex and complicated so that no one steal their turf.
It's time for America to become a democracy, wherein the people rule - instead of a republic, wherein the government is managed by elected representatives. -RKO-

Hey I'm right there with you. We need more political parties that actually represent us. The Far Right needs their own party, so moderate Rebublicans can regain control of their party and the Far Left need their own party, so that moderate Democrats can get back their party.
Then the moderates on both sides can get together and elect a government that makes sense again.

I think your point is well expressed. Sadly it will take a strong group of organized people to over run the system. I can only think of the group Promise Keepers that might have a running chance of making this kind of change.

Dude, I blame the party in charge. Their leader is the one making bad decisions and getting people killed. The congress is loaded in his favor and their is no checks and balances as the framers intended. Yes there is fault to go around but we are stuck with the system and the only way to change it is to vote.

Know why they do it? Because half of america doesn't vote. They arn't accountable to half of their constituents. Makes it pretty easy to become corrupt and a hypocrite.
