That's like asking why adults have sex with children. Pedofilia just like beastiality are a crime and a sickness. People who commit these acts of pervertion are as sick as they come, and need to be put away for a long time.

Personally, I believe that it's more of a crime of opportunity and seemingly silenced victims. An animal can never testify about sexual violence and it's easier for the perpetrator of such acts to justify it in their minds since there is no emotionally wounded victim left behind. There also may be some component of arousal over engaging in the forbidden. Still, others, are just looking for a cheap thrill.
