I am trying to print a document +- 100 pages (not internet) and I want a 2cm margin at the bottom. But regardless of what I do I get 2.9cm. I have tried 'page layout' (I set the bottom to 2.0cm), fonts, line spacing, footer spacing, etc. but I still get 2.9cm. What am I missing?

I assume you are using WORD. You have header/footer that it insisting to fix your document.

Open a blank document, change your margin according to what you like. Place your header/footer, then preview. If it doesn't complain, then copy the main documents that you have and paste it to the new one, then preview again.
