Like someone is rubbing a pen or fingernail back and forth over your skin. Afterwards, it feels like you've skinned your back. It doesn't really hurt. I had one on my lower back and just kept some triple antibiotic on it for about three days and covered for a day. Didn't notice it after a few hours.

Well the pain does not last long after the tattoo. But while you are getting it, depending where exactly, it might tickle a little. Other than that th pain level is fairly low.

Make sure you put tons of Vaseline on it after wards, it will scab and feel funny when your skin is stretched, i.e. bending over ect. But well worth it.

I'm ready for another! Can't wait!!!!

It depends on how close it is to your spinal cord. I have one about 4 inches from my spine. It felt like I was getting several shots all at once. I like my tattoo, but would not repeat the experience if I could go back and make the decision again.

The amount of pain actually depends on you..on how much pain you can stand and such. Since it's not such a fleshy area, there will be some pain and discomfort..but mostly not too bad. Kinda like pins being scratched over your skin...or lots of little bee stings.

From a guys perspective I want to say something.

Don't do it.

If you get this tatoo on your lower back you will look like every other girl out there. It's no longer an original look and honestly, most guys sort of laugh at it. I'm not trying to be mean, I am just telling you the truth.

AND, if you do decide to get one, make it VERY SMALL and understated.

It's not nearly as bad as it sounds. It's more annoying than paiful, like a sharp, scraping feeling. Some places on the back hurt more, and other places are not so bad. But after it's over it doesn't hurt anymore.

It's pretty much like meeting some guy at a bar and he is pretty hot but not so smart but he tells you that you are so darn pretty and so you go home with him and it's really not that great and he wants to do some sick stuff but you say no so you just do pretty normal stuff and then you tell him that you would love to see him again and he is like yeah i totally want to see you again because i feel a connection and you get so hyped thinking that this guy might be different but then he never calls.

it's pretty much like that.

Like someone taking the edge of a sharp razor blade and jabbing it into your back for about 45minutes to an hour. But, at least you won't be able to look at it while you are getting it done!
