Searching after the cat left the room.

If philosophy is searching for a cat in a dark room, then theology is believing the cat is there and you will eventually find find each other. And enlightenment is searching for the cat and then turning the light on.

Hahhaa that's a nice question. Too bad my answer was already posted here. And even worse that some people totally ignored the question (like me) and wrote something that might have something to do with it but, if you think about it, not really (again me, except I'm talking about the guy that listed all types of theology).

Theology is pretending we already found the cat while he might not even be there.

Theology is studying about the invisible cat in the dark room. True. But we feel its snow whitey silky hair , rubbing against us so close that we keep on searching for it till we die.

There are four different types of theology:
1. Exegetical Theology:
•Biblical Studies (analysis of the contents of Scripture)
•Biblical Introduction (inquiry into the origins of the Bible)
•Canonics (inquiry into how the different books of the Bible came to be collected together)
•Biblical Theology (inquiry into how divine revelation progressed over the course of the Bible).
2. Historical Theology (study of how Christian theology develops over time):
•The Patristic Period
oThe Ante-Nicene Fathers
oThe Nicene Fathers
oThe Post-Nicene Fathers
•The Middle Ages
•the Reformation and Counter-Reformation
•the Modern Period.
3. Systematic Theology:
•The Existence of God
•The Attributes of God
•The Trinity
•Christology
•Creation
•Providence
•Doctrine of Man (theological anthropolgy)
•Soteriology
•Justification
•Sanctification
•Eschatology and the Afterlife.
(though note: subdivisions in the area of Systematic Theology are probably more apt to vary across differing theologies than in the other 3 types of theology)
4. Practical Theology:
•Moral Theology (Christian Ethics and Casuistry)
•Ecclesiology
•Pastoral Theology
o Liturgics
oHomiletics
oChristian Education
oChristian Counseling)

There are people who simply drift along, searching for somewhere they belong to in this world. Looking for a place to call their own, they want to know where they stand in life. Years go by, but the answers might still be unknown to them, even til their very last breath on their deathbeds. Maybe that's what this journey called life is all about.

But living life is never a waste. When we have somebody to love and something to hope for, we learn to embrace the true beauty of life. Cherish every moment of your life because once it's gone, it will never come back. Sometimes you miss it so badly that it hurts inside.

You have to search for the cat if the room is dark,, as he may be hiding

If the room was not dark, you would not search, you would see it,

Theology is the Cat's Mama.

It is the darkness that engulfs the room itself. It is so clouded with different truths that you can't tell which is right or which is wrong that we are thrown into darkness. The flashlight used is the actual truth itself. The cat is the true and final destination.
