The Twin's are quietly one of the best teams in baseball. I think they'll make a run. They have something like 12 games left against the Sox and 9 against the Tigers. Win those games and yes they'll catch them. I'm a huge Twins fan, I'm not giving up!

Sorry, Twins fans, but I don't think the Twins will catch the White Sox in the run for the American League Wild Card. Just the other day, the Twins placed Shannon Stewart and Torii Hunter on the DL, which is going to make a huge gap defensively (considering Stewart and Hunter's abilities to make the routine and spectacular plays, and their presence in the locker room, dugout, and on the field), so I think that unless the outfielder's replacements can perform at the level of Hunter and Stewart, the Twins won't be good enough to catch the White Sox. Sure the Twins have good pitching (Santana, Liriano, and a number one starter who's the number three starter in Minnesota's rotation, Brad Radke) and a relatively good offense (Mauer and Morneau are hitting the cover off the ball this year), but the White Sox are too good this year not to make the playoffs (barring injury to numerous key players on their team). The White Sox have a lineup full of great hitters (Thome, Konerko, Dye, Iguchi (he can hold his own)) and the White Sox also have a quality bench, and one of the top rotations in the league. So to sum it up, no matter how good the Twins play from now, the White Sox, Red Sox, Tigers, and Yankees will all end up playing better because of financial resources, good rotations, and good benches.

I'd love to see The Twins make the wild card, and The Tigers win the Central.

However, the chances of that happening are slim to none, and slim just passed away.

Twins just lost Tori Hunter and Shannon Stewart back on the D.L. Aslong as they can keep everyone healthy, they will be in the playoffs. Justin Mourneau is on fire! Liriano is pitching a 2 hitter right now going into the 9th. I say it's 85% they will get in.

I am sure pulling for them; Mauer and Morneau are awesome! Plus the pitching staff is very good.
