By "we" I mean males. I mean, come on! Sure, there was male dominance in the past, but that is because of the BAD males that took control. Most of us aren't like that. But then you see websites, literature, articles of clothing, and many other forms of statements that imply that we are ALL bad and that we ALL deserve to die horrible deaths. I mean, have you seen the "101 reasons why men suck?" Most of the reasons were used many times in the same web page, even more of them were taken almost directly from television sitcoms (the only way they could get closer tox those is by quoting them), most of them stated that they apply to all of us all the time, many of them were irrelevent and weren't our faults anyway, most of what they said wasn't true at all with a lot of males, most of them were things that apply to females as much as, if not more than, males, one had faulty logic (if we're all homophobes, how are there gays?), one of them was a GOOD thing (no PMS), etc. WHY?!?

tox is a typo. It is supposed to be "to."

To shell: I sense sarcasm in your answer. Note that we have our problems, too. Like, do you know how hard it is to aim at a toilet w/ an erection? Sure, that may be something little, but it happens a lot, and also we have the normal modern-day feminist (the kind who wants 100% female dominance and also wants all males to die a slow, painful death) that won't get off our backs. First they superliminally ask for sex, then they get mad at us when they get it. It is crazy. Note that I am NOT saying that this applies to all females.

Well I've never heard of such a thing!!! You mean to tell me there are people out there that stereotype people and put them into groups??? Come on its got to be a joke........................ but then of course this is being said from a blonde woman who would be to dumb to think of this answer on her own.
Ya know there's a list for everyone and everything - when minds can't think of anything intelligent to do they think up ways to attack other people on a personal level.

The culture has become more dysfunctional and destructive- for both men and women. It seems that back in the 1950s roles were pretty much defined for men and women. Then women's lib came along with the idea of resolving inequalities, which is not such a bad idea. But some of them went about it the wrong way, turning women into angry demanding predators and men into emasculated and angry types, and many are still asking "What did I do?" Equality, equal pay for equal work and equal opportunity should all be "no brainers" and enshrined in law, but it never happened for women. So many of us (not me!) continue to resort to underhanded tactics they excel at. Instead of an Equal Rights Amendment you have a culture that is taking pot shots at men with "sexual harrassment" and silly PC norms. Sure sexual harrassment exists, but most of what passes for it now is not. A guy can't even tell a girl she looks nice without worrying about "sexual harrassment". The women begin to think guys aren't interested. I guess a young woman practically has to jump on a guy to let him know she is interested these days. When people form relationships, everyone has become so selfish. They want to keep their perfect jobs, careers and it's a wonder anyone gets married or has any children these days. A lot of women wait until they are in their late 30s or 40s before having kids. People get divorced too easily, and practically no one lives in an extended family any more, so there are no parents or grandparents around to help out.
The culture itself is plastic and worthless, the most important cultural value being celebrity gossip and whatever commercial junk is being foisted off on us. Most TV shows make everyone, especially males, look like stupid, bungling idiots. A lot of movies are no better. Clean all that garbage out of your life, or at least give it less time.
I wouldn't worry the male issues too much. Decide for yourself what your world will be, what you believe in and who you care for. Create your own world and believe in it and yourself. Good men are wonderful to find and once you're finished with high school and college, good women will be quick to find you. Meanwhile, I'm sure you can find some people around who you have something in common with. Women LOVE men who love women. It sounds trite, but we do know the difference.

Well, not all males are hated by all women, first. Second, the world used to be Matriarchal, perhaps women still have some unresolved issues with that (tho there were wars in that time too). Third, if you're looking at women's magazines, just ignore it. That's filler for a slow month. It's just stereotyping for entertainment purposes and most women are smart enough to know better (we'll see what other women answer here)

I do not like male bashing. I have two brothers that I adore and a step dad who treats my mom like a queen and is a wonderful dad to all of us. I have had friends, associates, lovers and other men in my life that I admired and love. There are men I do not respect or care for, but it would be very simple minded and ignorant to categorically condemn men as a group based on a few who have behaviors I do not like.

All men are not bad some are wonderful people. Who are caring and loving indivuals. Don't sterotype people. Some women are not very loving or caring.
We are all indivuals and we all have different traits. Women become angry because when we lay down with men only one of us can get pregnant. Only one of us has to love and care for a child for 20 years. or the rest of our life. Robs us of our child hood. We don't make as much money as men. If we get a good education and a good job and don't get prenant. we have nothing to grip about

If you keep company with thieves you will be thought of as a thief.
Distance yourself from bad men, lead an exemplary life, develop what is known as charisma and you will never need to worry about what others think. They will know you by your actions.
How to do all that? that is another story.
