I am not sure if my is fast, my first born was when I was 23.
When I was pushed into the labour room, and within 15 minutes, the baby was out. Was that fast?
Had my second at 24, and it took me about 40 minutes. Slightly slower.
I think it is because I exercise a lot. I swim and walk (started with jogging, until tummy too big, I switch to walking) almost everyday. Swim at least 4 time a week.
However, for my second child, I only swim 3 to 4 time a month, and don't walk so much, due to work and home commitment.
How about others?

My labor lasted for about 3 hours...however, that is not the norm. Also, there must be progress happening. I've had friends who have been in labor for over 24 hours when the labor has stalled.

Both of my labors were induced. That means they gave me a drug called petocin (I probably spelled it wrong) to help start and move the labor along quickly. I am made very small and both my babies were 6lbs and under (I am not sure if that made a difference anyway) and my 1st labor was 7 hrs total from the 1st contraction and 14 minutes of pushing and the second was 4 hrs total from the 1st contraction and 2 minutes of pushing. I hope that gives you an idea.

My friend was 18 yrs old when she had her first child, the whole last month she was barely 2cm,she started getting back pains early one morning and had her son 1 1/2 hours later, she didn't even have to push except for the placenta to come out.
I had my son at 20 yrs old and the labor and pushing took 4 hours, but I was 4cm my whole last month, had an almost 9 lb baby...just goes to show you that it doesnt matter if it's your first or your 4th,my older sister has 7 kids and all of them took atleast 2 days of labor.

I was late with my son. So the started me on cervidill (or whatever you call that) and didn't work, it just gave me alot of pain till 7am. Then from there the doctors started me on pitocin, I only dialated to 4 centimeters and went back down to 2, but that was because my son was posterior, so I ended up having a c- section at 8:05pm next day.
The fastest labor I've heard of is 3 hours

my sister 3 hours start to finish...me three days for my first...going on my second week of labor with this set of twins. Your labor will have nothing to do with any result you get from the net...but the best advise i can give is to relax into the contraction like it is a really painful poop...and when it is time push with the same muscles you would poop with..the baby will come out much easier.

My grandmother's longest labor was 2 hours. She had 6 kids. I think the last couple were born at home. There was no way she could get to the hospital on time.
