There are many good ones, but few great ones.

Antica Posta is one of the best around.

La Grotta is also fantastic and has been around for a long time. We celebrated their 20th anniversary with the Chef a few years ago.

Baroanda is run by a guy from Sicily and has a great feel to it for a simple night out.

La Tavola is very good, probably because it is from the Fifth Group of Restaurants. They also recently opened Ecco, which will be written up with very positive reviews in tomorrows AJC. Although it is considered Mediterranean.

I know one I would definitely avoid is Veni Vidi Vici, by the Buckheadlife Group. It is just another overpriced snooty serviced restaurant from the folks at Buckheadlife. I hope this helps.

Maggiano's Little Italy in buckhead is a lot better for than la grotta both are expensive but Maggiano's is unbelievable food. It is my personal favorite restaurant; i just wish i could afford to eat there more often.
