rr your awsome, even when not at war this country goes out on a limb even when she has her hand bitten by the leaders of the country she is trying to help. in nature america in the product of every country out there and has some feelings for each and every country. if hitler got his way what part of total destruction of the jews is so stabalizing for that region. if kuwait fell do these left wing nutcases really beleive that was good for anyone? least of which it put iraq in position to cause more problems for suadi arabi which then by happenstance would have cuased us indirect problems not to mention the direct issues of having to deal with a rouge leader in control of that much power. depite some of these answers you have already recieved, most countries need the us and rely on the generosity of americans. if it wasnt for this great country many countries would have collasped. and if it wasnt for this country and the bible prophecies are correct isreal would be in all war by now and the end of times would be at hand. for those of you who dont already know isreal will take part in a huge battle against what is beleived to be russia and will when ( specualted americans will help) its in the bible ty for a great subject rrsh

Well youre not exactly accurate about what would happen were the United States to fall. However I think the sentiment can be appreciated. Because of the states human rights efforts around the world and committment to democracy, other countries have given us a bad rap as "fascists". However, fascism usually goes hand in hand with totalitarian dictatorships and communism. So in short yes a democratic superpower is necessary to hold on to what world peace there is and help people to see the way.

Well, since we're the only one here in the USA and we aren't doing the world a damn bit of good, I'd say hell no, the world does NOT need a superpower.

If you honestly believe that America is keeping the world stable then you've just entered the twilight zone.. destabilization is the key to our ever onward approach to hegemony ...

If the rest of the world could solve their own problems without always bugging us for help we wouldn't be needed.
