When is this retard going to stop throwing his personal, religious believes in the way of what most scientists consider the BEST approach to beat cancer, aids, and then some?

Can you not use the term 'retard' in a derogatory way? I am sure even a "retard" would know it's 'religious beliefs' and not 'believes'.

Maybe you should be thanking god you do not have a physical disability instead of publicly ridiculing the unfortunate.

Well, he will be gone in two years. And I wouldn't let yourself get overworked(unless you do have a medical condition , I imagine this would be frustrating) I believe Changes are coming because as far as cures other countries have been working seriously with it. China and Europe scientist have been working with certain isolated cells theories. And here many groups receive private funding and work with mice-- though it may slow progress down. There has been a lot of talk since This week they isolated isolate leukemia stem cells in a model of human leukemia in mice It is might take awhile before they can actually do anything with it here for humans but those already established all aspects in stem research outside the USA are expected to further the study along and help to handle what working with mice hinders And what you can keep in mind is that 1) the more progress that is made the more support people are likely to give it and vote that way and 2) I don't think any major cure would not be available to anyone, if found outside this country. With exception of affordability of course but I don't think that has anything to do with where it was discovered.

Bush is being counselled by those who believe that
life begins at conception. The science and technology required to extract stem cells could (more likely than not) kill the embryo. There is another answer that overzealous people are not considering I think just because there is no soapbox required to realize its greatness: umbilical cord blood... it contains vital stem cells. The reason there is hesitation on this legislation? One word: l i f e.

I am assuming that you are the retard, since I am sure you are too patriotic to call the Commander In Chief of the United States of America a ugly name.

What would you call the Queen? SHAMEFUL behavior.

You guys know who was the first President to fund stem cell research, it was GWB,Clinton passed on it. And if it could show some proven value it would be extened, why waste money, when we could use it to feed the poor!
