Depends. If you want an action film, go with Raiders, but if you like trippy movies that actually have a message, go with Dr Strangelove.
By the way, everyone should see Dr Strangelove at least once in their life.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
Dr. Strangelove is good, but it's pretty much stuck in the past. At this point you have to want to see it and be willing to be patient. On the other hand, the general theme is not as far-fetched as we might like.

Raiders - its drama with a lot of humor....Strangelove on the other hand is very dark humor and not nearly as good as Raiders.

They are both entertaining movies.
Dr. Strangelove is nasty nasty satire about the cold war.
If you didn't grow up during it, much of it may not seem that
funny. Peter Sellars is wonderful, in all of his roles.
Raiders is lots of action, great for looking at Harrison Ford
if you're into him, but not much to take away from the movie.
For me, I'd do Strangelove simply because I remember
"Duck and Cover". One of Kubrick's finest (the other
being "2001 a Space Odyssey").

Both good choices.
Strangelove is hilarious in it's subtlety, and also it's lack thereof.
"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room!"
Rent Raiders. Buy Strangelove!
