Cottonball is an 8 year old Albino Rabbit. She has not eaten in about a weak. She is also gritting her teeth and has a white pastey discharge coming from her eyes. She is very week and is not moving around. I have gotten her to drink water a couple of times, but only by holding her. A couple of days ago, while I was holding her, I heard her cry. I have put her water and food where she only has to move her head, she has not been eating. I heard her take a drink of water last night and it woke me up. She sounds a little raspy in her breathing. We were told the life expectancy was around 8 years for rabbits, and less for an albino by a vet. Is this true? We don't know if she is dying or if she has a cold and need to know how to treat her. She never has had a cold before. We do have airconditioning, however, we keep it at about 74 degrees. Please help us. Thank you.

my rabbit bumper live close to 8 years. he didn't suffer. we went to bed and he was dead in the morning. it sounds as if cottonball is in alot of pain.i would take him to the vet to see what they think. don't let your rabbit suffer. i am sorry about your bunny. it is awful to lose a pet or loved one. but we don't want them to suffer. best wishes to you and your pet.

I was told the same life expectancy about our rabbits. Rabbits are really fragile and hard to treat. Many vets don't know how to treat them. If you can't find a vet nearby that treats rodents, try a breeder. Your bunny is very sick from her symptoms. She should have seen the vet days ago. Good luck.

you have to take her to the vet. She needs emergency care. She is likely starving to death. Whenever a rabbit doesn't eat or move more than a day it is considered an emergency. rabbits can live to 5-10 years.

it could be a solid thought to take him to a vet. possibly you may save him interior while there is undesirable climate, the chilly and rain ought to have made him a sprint sick. And cool down, ok? Freaking out won't do you any solid. basically breath in deeply, and produce him to a vet as quickly as you could, just to make beneficial he's okay.

get her to the vet immediately. Her wheezing is not a good sign.

Ask your vet about the airconditioning. It could be effecting her as well, but get her there now.

YOUR RABBIT HAS BAD EAR INFECTION.
IT STARTED WHEN SOMEONE LIFT COTTONBALL BY HER
EARS AND DAMAGE HERS BLUD VENS. SHE NEEDS
ANTIBIOTICS OR IF YOU CEN NOT HAVE THEM TRY WITH
LARD(FET FROM PIG) .YOU CAN HAVE IT FROM FRANCLIN'S
OR COLES FROM FRIDGE WHERE THE MARGARINES ARE.
I COME FROM EUROPE -BOSNIA TO AUSTRALIA .
I USE LARD TO TREAT MY RARRITS AND IT WORKS IF
INFECTION IS NOT GO TO FAR.
I WILL BE WERY HAPPY IF COTTONBALL SURVIVE.
