In the sense that people were warned that it was going to happen and chose to not leave until it was too late? Yes.

This however is not a natural disaster it is a man made one.

In the sense that people stand around with there head up there rear ends and expect someone else to come save them and to pay for it too? Yes indeed.

No. I sure don't. When you visit or live in a foreign country, you accept the risks involved with that decision. Lebanon would not be on my personal list of places to visit...let alone live in.

The US Government has actually responded far better to the plight of Americans living in Lebanon than they did for Americans in New Orleans. Cruise ships are on the way, if not already there.

Perhaps we should find out which Americans are responsible for this quick and well-orchestrated evacuation and put them in charge of FEMA.
