Bush: "You see the irony is what they need to do is get Syria, to get Hezbollah to stop doing this **** and it's all over..."

What is the fuss all about?

There are no implications. It's too bad Bush doesn't always talk like he doesn't know the mic is on. He makes so much more sense.

Of course, we have not attempted to bring Syria into the fold as we did Egypt. Syria is ripe for change and needs a sponsor. A lot of nations that used to rely on the Soviet Union need a daddy today. We could be that daddy, if we just took the first step.

The Syrians aren't stupid and could be agent for stability if we made it worth while for them.

Hezbollah "freedom fighters" do not work, they do not have inherited money (those who have prefer to stay far from the war-zone). How do they survive, if they do not have financial support from Lebanon government? It is sponsor money (Syria and Iran, mostly). Syria is a historical "daddy" for this organization. After Israel kicked their ..., they decided not to mess any more and use terrorist puppets. Syria can definitely stop all that conflict. But, does it want to? With big political dividends it can be arranged (international acceptance, financial loans, etc.) If international community works smart, the conflict can be resolved in a matter of hours. Syria will sell all the Hezbollah friends, or will just stop them.
The war came to the point, that no side needs it any more. All sides are loosing, and are ready to discuss potential resolution approaches.

Don't watch American news as you won't get the truth. Removing Syria from Lebanon was part of a strategy to let Hezbollah run wild as Syria kept the peace. Now that Syria is removed from Lebanon - you know the rest. The next step is to blame Syria and Iran for selling weapons to Hezbollah and then attack Syria and Iran and embroil the Bush administration in a war to secure an oil pipeline from Iraq, through Syria, to Israel.
However, Iraq is a mess, and the Bushites don't have the money or troops to attack Iran and Syria. This was all part and parcel of a larger strategy by Dick Cheney and Israel to attain most of the Middle East oil fields.

Bush seemed too eager to "go home" to understand the implications of the current fighting, or to understand the involvement of Iran.

Blair TRIED explaining this to him (though Blair doesn't understand much about the Arab-Israeli Conflict either. Note the way he refers to "Palestine").

Then this brilliant exchange with the Chinese president:

Bush: "Gotta go home. Got something to do tonight. How about you? Where are you going home? This is your neighborhood, doesn't take you long to get home. You eight hours? Me too. Russia's a big country and you're a big country. Takes him eight hours to fly home...Russia's big and so is China."

I suspect that Bush likes to deal where the oil is. That is not Israel or Lebanon. Therefore, this is a distraction for him. If he can get someone else to take care of things then he can concentrate on issues of the heart, like money and oil and protecting them.
