When I saw the previews and such for Hellboy, I thought two things:
1. This is going to be ridiculous
and
2. This is going to flop majorly.
I was completely wrong on both counts, turns out. After I watched the movie (on TV, since my aforementioned prejudice kept me from renting a DVD and certainly from purchasing a ticket) I liked it. The best thing about it was how all the characters (basically just a random assembly of freakies) got along with each other and formed a sort of outcast family. The other stuff's good too- special effects, action, blah blah.
So maybe you'll like it, since I was pleasantly surprised. :D

I liked it enough, but it suffered on the cutting room floor.
The development of the relationship between Hellboy and Liz could have had more screen time.

it's pretty cool. the first time i watched it, it seemed really short and i didn't like it that much. but i watched it a second time and it was tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!
