this isn't meant to be anti-muslim. I just find it interesting that Islamism is involved in so many conflicts around the globe.

Do you mean Somalia, the northeastern African country? If you do, they have little if any government and are traditionally muslim, of an extremist variety. That is one of the centers of Female Genital Mutilation. And everyone should regard that as an evil aspect of Islamic practice.

Islam is not the only one evolved in the worlds problems, For example The Holocaust, Poverty in the USA, and Job Discrimination; to name a few.
