And apologize to all Islama-Fascists for being free and then tuck our tail between our legs go home and cower under our beds do you think that the world would love us then? Do you think that would prevent future attack like 9/11?

Nope and nope. The world will continue to hate us because we are such a powerful nation. Also the liberals would find fault with this, even though they are calling for us to cut and run. Although, that might please the pig Jack Murtha(so called "war hero" that is nothing but a coward), who already hung our P.O.W.'s that are being held at Camp Pendleton. If the liberals have their way, our Marine's will receive the death penalty.

I think it would make very little difference in the long run if we stopped fighting overseas.

The battles in the Middle East are not going to prevent an enemy from attacking us at home. Whatever other benefits those efforts might bring (spreading democracy, etc.) it's not going to have any significant effect on securing our country from local attacks.

Continued hostilities make us a target. Tucking tail and hiding make us a target. The best and only way out is to not go looking for trouble, but hit hard and decisive in response where threats appear.

And we can't do that with most of our forces busy doing nation building and fighting other country's civil wars.

Open your eyes Ethan. How has the hunt for bin laden been going? Been 5 years and he is still free. Do you feel any safer now? You shouldn't. Iraq had nothing to do with 911 and you know it.

Most people don't want to stop the war on terror if that is what you want to call it. They want us to fight the right war. Bin Laden is not in Iraq. Al Qaeda was not in Iraq until we overthrew Saddam and opened the gates for them.

The US right now is like an angry child, hitting the first person he sees, not the person that stole his candy.

the guy above me "thegubmint" is right. China isn't a unfastened democratic society. in the event that they have been attacked with the aid of Islamic Fundamentalists i'm particularly useful that each Muslim of their united states of america (if there are any) could be rounded up and shot. All Muslims could be barred from shifting into China. we are speaking a pair of united states of america that executes human beings and then sends the entire persons family a bill for the bullet that alter into used. we are speaking a pair of united states of america that forces women human beings to get abortions could desire to they have extra beneficial than one newborn. Do you certainly think of they could tip-toe around the tulips with those human beings? i think of no longer. the US on the different hand is seen a "civilized" united states of america with the aid of our enemies so as that they think of their are limits to what we are able to do. There are not any limits for China, so as that they arent attacked. because of the fact maximum human beings of their GDP is offered to the US they could extra beneficial than probably bar all commerce to any Muslim united states of america. the only concern they could have is they, like the US, want oil from the middle East. China additionally isn't percieved as having any impact interior the middle East, they take a seat back and suggestions their very own corporation like the US used to do one hundred years in the past.

In answer to 'g'....we are fighting terrorists in Iraq - we aren't fighting the Iraqi people. Just like Israel is not fighting Lebanon, they are fighting the terrorist group Hezbollah. There are terrorist cells all over, yes, even here in the United States. President Bush is doing the best job any man possibly can to stop the terrorists, especially from spilling American blood on American soil.

no one is advocating that that i know of. but no, i don't believe it would.

the problem is there has always been evil in the world. and the terrible burden we have taken up is to fight it without succumbing to its fantasies and inventions.

there will not be another 9-11. terrorists will never again fly civilian planes into buildings. there shall be a rallying cry taken up should they try it again: remember united 93!

you should have seen how fast everyone jumped up when a nut lost it my plane last year. it won't happen again. they shall have to think of something else, and it will still be up to people like you and i to stop them. the government can't promise that security, they can only wax poetic about their efforts.

We have Jeb. Even if there arent any terrorists. Even after terroism has been totally wiped from the face of the earth, there are others in line from the Bush clan for the presidential ticket for years to come.

Hmmmm.....Ethan stupidly seems to think that creating an entire GENERATION of terrorists in Iraq has somehow made America safer. Right. Just like supporting Bin Laden to fight the Russians made us safer, right Ethan?

Iraq was a SECULAR state, with little or no ties to terrorism. Thanks to Bush, we have now gotten a PRO-IRANIAN government elected in Iraq. Ummm, Ethan, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Iran part of the AXIS OF EVIL?

Seems to me that spending billions, and committing all of our troops to one country that had minimal terrorist ties, only to hand control of that country over to Iranian sympathizers is not really the best way to fight terrorism. But, hey, maybe it's just me.

Of course, that wouldn't explain why my father, a lifelong dyed-in-the-wool, red state conservative said to me yesterday, for no reason: "I voted for that idiot, and I'm sorry."

Wonder what he realized that Ethan hasn't?

... isn't that what we've done... except to save face we went to Iraq, that has nothing to do with terror, and let the actual terrorists that attacked us do what ever they wanted everywhere else?

Well, we did go into Afghanistan... but we seem to just have a few troops there that are looking for the Taliban.. which really won't do much in the war on terror

jpxc99: arrogance... my, my, my... and China and the EU are nothing? perhaps they will just make us pay for our arrogance with tarrifs...

I really couldn't care less how the world sees me. We will never surrender to a bunch of thugs. Ain't gonna happen......And no it wouldn't prevent a future attack. They would just step it up.
