Uses regular 87 octane gasoline. There's no such thing as 2-cycle gas. 2 cycle engines run on regular gas as well. Weed eaters and blowers have you add 2-cylce OIL to the gas. But generators use regular gas just like lawn mower engines. In fact, you probably have a Briggs and Stratton engine on your generator. Just fill it up like your lawn mower, and don't worry about doing anything with the oil at the moment. The guy below me means that it uses 30W oil, but DEFINITELY don't add it to the gas like you would in a weed eater. Take care of the oil at a time that's not an emergency. Just make sure it has oil IN it. When you do change/check/add oil, it uses regular, 4-cycle, 30W oil. But oil and gas are ALWAYS separate on a generator.

Actuall, I take all that back. I found a couple of 2-cycle generators. What kind of generator are you using??? This is important. You might have to mix 2-cycle oil with your gas.
