Batman, the despicable fat cat, would spend so much of his fortune to buy equipment, weapons, and armor that are specialized in combating Spider-man. Spider-man may win against a normal, unprotected Batman (perhaps in a first confrontation), but Batman would ultimately win with a reactive combat strategy and superior technological might that undermines Spider-man's ingenuous web assaults, fortified strength, dangerous acrobatic skills, and defensive spidey sense. However, I don't know why the two would fight in the first place because ideally they exist for the same purpose: fighting evil.

Spider man is a scientist, can lift 10 tons, has spider sense that warns him a danger, can stick to walls, spin webs that are 100 stronger than steel and can jump 20 feet in the air. What does batman have, he can fight, has some gadgets and money, same as the green goblin had. I think Spider man would win.

I also think Batman will win. I remeber reading this Justice League story about Batman preparing a solution to overcome every single members of the Justice League. You are talking about people like Superman, Martial Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Latern, Plastic Man and Aquaman. Some of these individuals has powers greater than Spider-man and Batman came up with a way to beat them - including stuffs like synthetising Krytonite.
With his money and brains, given enough time for him to prepare and he probably can beat Spider-man easily.

Batman is almost unbeatable when he prepares in advance. He's not only clever, he's also careful. As he said in Dark Knight Returns, (about having kryptonite prepared with which to whup Superman's butt) "It would take years and cost a fortune. Luckily, I had both."
Spider Man might leave Batman webbed up somewhere like a common criminal, not realizing that Batman has acid in his utility belt to eat away the webs. They would both go away thinking "I've got to be better prepared, the next time I meet this guy," and Batman would win.

Batman would definetly pull this one out. As much as I love Spider-Man, Batman would be prepared for him for miles away. He would probably know who he is within a half hour. Spider-Man has natural strength and mobility over him, but Batman has the cache of resources. Peter Parker has virtually no capital for superhero tools. Batman would throw a wide range of gadgets at Spider-Man and stop him at every turn. He would give him no place to hide and strike him down quickly.

It depends on when in the timeline are you talking about. If it's a young Peter Parker (i.e. Ultimate Spider-Man or pre 90's Spider-Man) then Batman has it due to experience. Spidey had the moves but not the experience. If you're talking about today's Spidey, then he's got it hands down. Wayne is smart, but let's see him work with Reed Richards, Tony Stark and Hank McCoy like Spidey. Parker is smarter and faster and stronger. Not to mention his villains are all stronger than Batman's, except Bane. So that's my two cents. Where's the beer?

Batman would win. They are both very bright, but Batman seems to be more well rounded. Spider Man seems to have the edge as far as agility, due to his power, but Batman moves great too. Also, while Peter Parker does have super powers, he is still a science nerd at heart, while Batman is fearless.

Spider-Man would win. He has Spider-powers and he is a scientist, he also rose from the dead after being buried underground for two weeks. When it comes to women though, Batman has this one. He had a daughter with Catwoman (this was in the comics, her name was Helena Kyle-Wayne, check the Superhero Encyclopedia if you do not believe me), and a son with Mrs. McGuiness from Batman Beyond, Terry McGuiness, I also heard that one of the Robins could be Batman's child. Who has Bruce Wayne/Batman not slept with.

Spider-man will always win because of his spider-sense(danger -sense), speed and agility will cause him to get away from any traps Batman tries to set. Plus, Batman cannot fight Spider-man hand to hand. Spider-man has fought the Fantastic Four and X-men by himself and won! This fight is not about wealth, it about using one abilities to the fullest. How many wealthy foes have spider-man fought and won against them!
