Yes, I try to be. Unless the honesty would make someone unhappy. In other words, if I were married and she asked, "Were you looking at that other woman because she's beautiful?" I, knowing if I said yes I would have no sex for a couple months, would say, "No. I was just thinking of how you are much more beautiful than that tramp." Or, if my kid asked where the dog was after it was run over by a car, I would respond with, "It was very sick, and went to a better place."
So, honesty is good in most cases, but think about what you are going to say in a certain position. Honesty is almost always best.

No one is completely honest. Honest people always get humped in the long run. But, if they learn from experience, then they won't be as honest. So, the answer is no.

I love the people who answer "yes I am" that is a lie right there. It is a proven fact that there is not a single person that is honest. They might be like me, I strive for honesty. To be truly honest is to look at yourself for who you really are. That is brutal honesty. It is something that I struggle with but to strive to be honest is so freeing. You really should try it if you don't.

Yes and been honest have it's down sides. Most people prefer hypocrites and liars. The truth always hurts.

If I were as honest as I wanted to be, I wouldn't have any friends, and I'd spend my days fighting everybody, so no--I'm not, in a sense. I'm honest about being tactful, though.

You can't be 100% honest because you may hurt the ones you care about.Then again you can't be 100% dishonest because you will be branded a lying ****.
