When I was flying in Afghanistan, after 9/11.... the most beautiful thing I've ever seen was through a pair of night vision goggles. Obviously, it was dark out... there were clouds all around the plane and I (and the rest of the crew). I could not see a thing without the NVG's on. So, I powered em up. CLICK! After a second, I started to look out the window, and there was a cloud with... it must have been a hundred... lightning bolts flying around inside it. Anybody that remembers basic weather education from like 3rd grade would have easily predicted the occurence, but I sat in awe, watching this light show made of pure nature. If I were a lightning bolt, I would go back to the stan, and play with them.

If I were a bolt of lightning, I suppose that, with my limited capacity for choice, I would likely strike the highest object in the area I was in.
