No shes not gay.
I liek her retort, that this culture simply doesnt have adefinition for that type of a female relationship (men want women all to themselves and therefore think it unusual if a woman is better able ot bond to another woman) and thus the only way for most poeple to understand the bond is to stick it in the only box they have: gay.
I wouldn;t say she has issues being as she is: some people just chose to live their life differently. If she is happy with it, which she most certainly is, and fulfilled, and not suffering from her past, which she is over, then there is nothing wrong with it.
Don't 'pity' her as if something were wrong (not necessarily acussing you of that) because she doesn;t want to be like every other female in the world who is strapped to a man. Shes autonomous and likes it, successful, fulfilled, and a charitable person: that's great!!

This thing puzzles me to no end. #1--Why is it that when a woman doesn't get married she is thought of as gay? The only reason this is coming up is because Oprah isn't married to Steadman. Maybe she likes her life the way it is. That doesn't make her gay.
#2--She has a close relationship with her friend Gayle. That doesn't make her gay, either. Lots of women have close personal relationships with a woman. We women are like that.
#3--If she is gay, who cares? I have never understood the need for the world to label people. I could care less if the woman is or is not gay. If she is, so what? I don't have a problem with people being gay or straight, christian or muslim--just as long as you are not shoving your personal opinions down my throat. Live and let live.
#4--She says she isn't gay, so I beleive her.

some ought to imagine so because she has a tutor it truly is all about females stuff. She even has a mag it truly is all about females, and he or she truly ever talks about "getting the guy" in both of those. yet we received't understand till we get some authentic info that factors to the accurate that she is a lesbian. i do not evaluate opinion (or opinion in protecting with info) on celeb magazines and tabloid newspapers to be good info. What we commit to attraction to close is the down-top reality that doesn't purely ask "is Oprah gay?" yet a conclustion that screams out "Operah is gay!" adequate stated.

i heard something like that on the radio this morning. that she and her closest friend might b having a relationship but they say there's no lesbianism. Nah! i don't think Oprah is gay. She just hasn't found her Prince Charming yet or does not want one.

I've never really thought she was gay but I don't think I would mind if she was. You should check out the '9' on the yahoo homepage, they had something about her publicly saying she wasn't gay.

Ummm... no. I think she just has a lot to deal with and she's not ready for a husband. Even if she is 50. And you kno, her past wuz pretty painful, but I like my first reason better.
