I work for a really big company. I have worked here for 3 years. It seems like for some reason only the black race is given opertunitys to move up in the company. The black assoc who work here get to walk around and chat all day while all the white assoc have to be on the phones taking calls. I have complained to the head mangr in my office and nothing ever seems to change. It is really weird to be the minority when i never have felt like this b.4. Sometimes i feel like i am loosing my mind because even the mangrs just all sit around and do nothing. They have reg. assoc lie and tell customers their mangrs when they arent. Why would such a big company pay people to sit around and do nothing?

If you feel illegal discrimination is occuring in the workplace you may file a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. They are the federal agency charged with enforcing laws regarding discrimination based upon gender, disability, gender and other federally protected groups.

Be advised that once your complaint has been filed it will be presented to your employer. Retaliation against you or those you associate with is prohibited under federal law.

Good luck.

I know how it feels to work for a company run by idiots, and if you don't get out you will go crazy. However, if you are planning on sticking around, here's something you can do. Complain to the President/CEO of the company. Write a letter explaining how you feel. If you have to, mention in the letter, how you will go to the media and tell them what's been going on. It's not surprising that a group of people would band together and exculed other groups. That's to be expected anywhere. But, in this case it is discrimination and shouldn't be tolerated.

if the pay is okay and the work is okay, what anyone else does is irrelevant

most companies have some idiotic aspects

read "Dilbert" comics and you will see jokes make about the same kind of nonsense that happens at your company

if the pay is poor or the conditions such that you hate everypart of the job, then you should be looking for another job

haha everyone works for a company like that to some degree, the best thing you can do is go to your union if you have one...if not keep moving up the ladder of "managers" and hope someone takes notice, you could rally your coworkers if possible and have a joint complaint which is much harder for management to ignore. good luck!

I hate racicm like that.... like all black schools. Sure they 'desegregated' schools so their aren't all whites, but nooooooooooo they have all black colleges and stuff. It ticks me off. I treat all of my friends equal and don't try to be extra sensitive with my black friends or nothin. Equality means to be nice to EVERYONE, not to just the race that in the past was largely... what's the word.... discriminated against... Get a group of your coworkers, black AND white, to talk to the managers.

those who run businesses do not have as a lot skill as one may imagine. that is extremely genuine with older businesses which have an embedded way of existence interior the organization. they're used to engaging in agency a particular way, and could reject concepts that run counter to that way of existence. that is between the justifications that some older businesses bypass out of agency. they're unable to assume ameliorations interior the marketplace, and unwilling to make the ameliorations to their company way of existence to adapt to those ameliorations.
