I'm a Mets fan, but let's be serious: First of all, awesome current run by the Braves, but how long do you think it will last and the Mets have shown consistancy so far even with a shaky pitching staff. Only if the Mets totally collapse like the 1951 Dodgers, their current lead will not be assailable.
I remember "down" years for the Mets when all of a sudden, there would be a five game winning streak and we all got excited that the team reached only 5 games below .500. Enjoy the Braves' current run but in reality, you'll have to wait til next year.

Braves have been turning it on lately ... something like 50 runs in the last 5 games, won 7 in a row and 11.5 games back... wait a minute.. 11.5 games back???! Ahem..... I don't think it's possible but things like that have happened before. Mets have also been turning it on lately too, and Beltran has been incredible (2 grand salamis in 2 games). As a Mets fan I hope they win the pennant, but the Braves have a big reputation for going on streaks...
