I try to vacuum at least every other day, but probably should do it everyday.

I have a small child who is always playing on the floor, otherwise, it would not get done that often

I do it 2x a day, but I also have 5 children, so I 'm sure that makes a difference on how much stuff we have on the floor.
Seems like the 2 year old is always getting into something :O)

The dining room gets vacuumed at the end of each day. The living room and family rooms get vacuumed every other day. Bedrooms get vacuumed once a week. I have four children, so that certainly has an impact on how much vacuuming needs to be done.

We have 1/2 carpet & 1/2 tile. The tile gets swept everyday and mopped at least once per week. The carpeting in the den - where we are primarily is vacuumed every other day. The bedrooms and the rest of the house is vacuumed once/week. We are a family of six.

I vacuum when I can SEE the floors, after pack rat DH has decided to pick up his computer equipment and mail off the floor. So, I'd say....about once a month. I know....pretty pathetic. That's why I don't have people over very often (see previous "marathon cleaning sessions" question I asked earlier).
But one good thing, the vacuum is never put away (just add it to the clutter), so if we do have a mess that needs attention right away, we can get to it quick!
Wow, once a day, twice a day....you people scare me, and put me to shame! LOL!

The bare floors get done nearly every day. Either by vacuum or swifter. I can't stand dog hair on the floor. The carpet gets done every other day, sometimes more often.

I vacuum once a week, but since I have three cats and a dog, I think it needs to be done everyday. I guess it depends on your lifestyle.

I vacuum as soon as the kids go to bed everynight. I do not have to sit in their mess and the morning starts out fresh. I got the swifter carpet flick for spills in the day. I use it when it is needed.

There is no way I can do it everyday! There are only two people in my house and a cat so about twice a week or unless I see dirt or cat hair on the floor.
