It has been shown that most people with tattoos have them in places that can not be seen by the public. Any person you come across in any given day could have one or more tattoos. Also only 31% of men have tattoos but 46% women do. Tattoos mean something different to every person that has one. I have one and I'm a good hard working family man. My wife has three and is a loving wife and mother.

Since tattoos are so common now in America, I don't really view tattooed person any differently than an uninked one... The only exception is if they have really unique or just plain well done work... then I look at them with more interest than usual.

I have tattoos, so I like to see theirs and they will check mine out. Personally I believe that people that look at somebody and won't have anything to do with them because they have tattoos, piercings, off colored hair, crazy hairstyles are the people with issues they just need to lighten up and talk to these people. Punks, and Bikers and Hippies and all those people that are judged by their looks have intelligence too and like to conversate just like the most everyone on the planet.

I never judge a person until I have had a conversation with that person and know them a little and know what they are into and all that before I decide if I dislike them or not. Anyways those stuffy @$$hole$ that take a look at me or anyone else and decides we aren't worth the effort would rather have it that way because that tells me just about all I need to know.

no initial view or opinion. the tattoos are not what matter, it is how the person acts and lives their life that is important. If it is an interesting tattoo, I may ask a little bit about it.

I see rebellion and lack of critical thinking. Some kids get tattoos because it upsets their parents. Other people get tattoos because it's the "in thing"

I often see girls who have tattoos on their ankles, and lower legs. I think body mutilation, tattoos, pierced ears, and tongues and noses, and bellybuttons, is a sign of wanting to belong. unfortunately, the group being sought entry to is not worth the mutilation.

Of course, I can remember when cutting one's hair was taboo. One of my aunts, a teenager, "Bobbed" her hair [cut it short]. My Grandpa pitched a fit, and threatened to kick her out of the house. So my Grandma cut her hair as a show of solidarity. Grandpa did not win that one. Grandma used her hair as stuffing for pin cushions, and they are almost seventy years old now.

So maybe tattoos will become as common as haircuts.

There is an old saying "you shouldnt judge a book by its cover" just because someone has tattoos doesnt make them any better or worse then me! We are all equal, and until that person proves themself that they are not a good person, then I will judge them based upon there actions not by tattoos!

I don't really judge them one way or another.

My last boyfriend had 7 tatoos. I met him in the winter when they were all covered, but I'm pretty sure I would've gone for him anyway.

A guy at work looks a little on the scary side with his tatoos and bald head, but he is one of the nicest and most interesting people I know.

You can't really judge a book by it's cover.

Tattoos are just a form of expression, nothing wrong with them.

I just wonder how they'll feel in 20-30 years about those tatoos. I don't care either way...but I'm learning mandarin chinese (for about 6 years) and I've seen some very strange meaning chinese characters on people's bodies...

well I have three tattoos, and I think they are the new form for living artwork. some can bring out beauty and others are worn as testimony to times in peoples lives that it is important for them to wear as symbols that are not easily forgotten
