Do you like some of them? Do you think they're all annoying? Do you get up and leave the room during the commercials or do you actually watch them?

I hate commercials. Thank GOD for DVR recorders. Skip over commercials, and still don't miss any of your favorite shows.

I just saw an interesting piece on CNN Headline News the other day about how Advertisers have to get more creative on how they advertize their products. The reason being because the number DVR's are expected to rise drastically in the years to come and most people will record their programs and just fast-forward through all the commercials. So product placement has become a new thing into the programs themselves instead of waiting for a commercial slot. So you will see sports gear, beverages, and other products being incorporated more into tv shows, movies, and even reality shows. I tell you one thing I do hate, other than most commercials, is being forced to watch previews at the beginning of a DVD. Sometimes you can not even fast-forward through them. Ugh, that's just plain frustrating. Anyway, but as far as the commercials go, definitely get a DVR! I have Tivo, and I can't rememeber the last time I watched a commercial. Been a while. Best invention yet for TV/Cable.

Most of the time I don't watch them!
I get up and leave the room, doing the commercials.

They are a necessary evil. Sometimes I watch them sometimes no. I do not think they are all annoying. I think most get annoying when they are used over and over again or if the concept gets used too much ie the Geico gecko. It has started to get old. Unfortunatley, I cannot even remember what some commercials are selling because the commercials themselves are good entertainment.

I only time I really choose to watch them are during the Super Bowl. The rest of the time (or at least 95% of the time), I change the channel to something else, and then go back to avoid the commercial. They're almost always for sh*t I don't care about, or need, so why bother with them?

I think that commercial are a good thing but also a bad thing! They are a good thing, cuz if you are watchign something, and need to go get something, or do something, it gives you a chance to do that! It is also annoying though, becasue you will be really interested and it breaks it for you! So I can understand the need of having them but they do get annoying, and they never actually make me want to buy the product. I just look and ignore!

No way do i watch them! A few are funny, but i just change the channel. Most commercials are about cars, medicine, or cell phones. Plus, they're too long and cutting into my tv time.

There are 3 kinds of commercials...
1-the average run of the mill, who cares, kinda commercial
2-the awesome, funny commercial that gets in your head or becomes the new fad
3-the terrible, low-budget, lame, drives me crazy waste of 30 seconds type
I enjoy those that fall under the second category and don't care about the other 2...
All in all I'm glad they exist most of the time. It gives you something to talk about when the shows are lame.

They are usually too loud, annoying, ignored, and boring or stupid. Only good commercials are usually during super bowl, which I think we all stick around to watch. There are a select few that are good, but then they tend to suck after awhile once the networks show them a bazillion times in one week.

I ignore most of them because there are just so darned many these days compared with actual show time. Five minutes of show, five minutes of commercials. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Once in awhile a funny one will come along or will have something that I could actually use, so those are ok. But for the most part, no thanks!
