I down loaded yahoo messenger beta and I could not find a way to get my real name off and my yahoo ID on. I had to do a system restore to get rid of the beta and go back to regular messenger. I do want to go back to beta but will not if i can't use my yahoo ID. HELP!!!!!

Login to your account and edit your first and last name.
I think Yahoo is feeding the info from when you signed up with the account.
I agree, it's pretty annoying.

Create an alternate profile for your Yahoo!ID to be used when using Messenger.

You should have the option to display your real name, or your yahooID under your account settings.

Go to my profile..click on that..go in there and change anything you want. you can create and edit.
