Home pregnancy tests (HPT) may have false negatives but they usually don't have false negatives unless you have some of the pregnancy hormone in you.
If you are taking hormones due to a fertility treatment then you may have a false positive. It doesn't sound like the case here.
Another posibility is that you were pregnant and are miscarrying. It would be a good idea to call your Gyn and tell him/her that you had a positive HPT and now you are bleeding. Your doctor should be able to do a blood test or an ultrasound to make sure you are not pregnant.

are you sure you read the pos preg test correctly ? if so then your prob. preg . see the chances of having a wrong pos preg test are like 1 out of 100, having a neg and being preg, is common, especially if your bleeding 4 days early, take another test the one that says pregnant /not pregnant, that should work

My Mom and my sister both had regular periods for a couple of months after they became pregnant. It IS possible. But the best advice is to see your doctor.

I have been told you can have a wrong negative but you can not have a wrong positive. The best would be to ask your doctor to give you a blood test.

yes you are more than likely pregnant if one of the test has shown positive to the pregnancy hormone.
