do u have to want to commit suicide to call one? if not, how depressed to you have to be? is there any such thing a suicide-online-chat like a suicide hotline only over IM

Suicide is a permanent solution to temporary problems. I've been there, and I can tell you suicide isn't worth it. I found this website for suicide hotlines. It says for suicidal thoughts and emotional crisis...they have a separate line for each...plus hotlines per state.

suicide hot lines are for people thinking of suicide. if just depressed call a friend, leave the hot line open for the one who is thinking of killing their self or others. Suicide is a evil thing of depression. Talk to Jesus.

Most local Mental Health Clinicals will have a Crisis Line for any emotionaly crisis you might have, be it dpression, suicide, halluciantions, or even mania.

you can call, anytime, day or night, for whatever reason.
