everytime i run my norton antivirus-scan it scans and then shuts off?

i just installed my norton 2006. when i run full scan it goes for awhile then shuts off by it's self.

ARE YOU SURE IT IS A FULL SYSTEM SCAN? IF NOT THEN MAKE SURE ABOUT IT. AND IF THAT ISNT IT, GO TO THE TASK MANAGER...LEFT-CLICK EXPLORER.EXE, CLICK END PROCESS TREE, THEN START UP THE EXPLORER AGAIN, B-CUZ IT MIGHT BE A VIRUS ALREADY CAUSING IT...

If you use like ANTIVIR, you may find it not complicated. Update of virus definition is automatic!
