Every breed of dog was bred with a purpose in mined--hunting, herding, or just looking cute. Pitbulls were originally bred as fighting dogs, and as such, can have a frighteningly aggressive nature.
This is not to say there are not a good many very sweet pitbulls in the world, just that they require an exceptionally firm hand. They are, however, godawful ugly creatures. The finest upbringing in the world can't do anything about that.

According to the American Kennel Club, for many years the award goes to the German Shephard, no surprise there, for biting. I think, however, that now that the Pitbull is being bred and raised on a larger scale, I think it will be the next one at the top of the list. In just the last 6 months in my state, there have been several near fatal maulings by Pits. This does not include several maulings and killings of smaller dogs or cats by Pits too. I am an animal lover but I will tell you I get chills when I see a Pitbull because I saw someone (an animal control officer) mauled by one. I am not thrilled with German Shepards or Rotweilers or Dobermans either. BTW, Dalmations are pretty weird, people think they are great dogs because they were always on fire trucks. Nope, vicious.

any dog can be vicious. it depends on how it was raised. as far as pit bulls go, being they are VERY obedient dogs, many are raised for fighting, therefore, when given up, others do not know how it was raised, ending up attacked.
i have multiple friends who have not only pit bulls but children and none of them have had any problems. in fact, they feel safer for the dog to stay with the child than other people. the pit bulls are very owner obedient. they are the type to die to help their owner. because of their nature, many take advantage of their obedience.
my mom worked for a vet, and the only dogs that turned on their "original" owners that did not raise the dog to be viscous, were chows. which are not on your list.

A breed isn't vicious. The way they are raised makes them that way.

Pitbull. Over time, their skulls shrink and constrict their brains causing them to almost "go insane" so-to-speak. They can get very, very mean.
