There are different kinds of pain that people feel in their stomachs : acidic, motion sickness, a dull ache, spasms, acute pain ..... so much ! The most common cause of stomach problems in adults is stress-related illnesses, so you are going to have to learn to live with it and pop some Tums/Rolaids, or you need to make some changes in your life. You begin that by sitting outside in a peaceful environment with a pencil and paper and make a list of the things that give you the most stress in life.
Better to do it sooner than later because later you may need anti-depressants. Good Luck !

If you aren't lactose intolerant, a glass of milk will calm your stomach. Try sitting in a nice hot bath; where you can be alone and release some of your tension. If you can afford an occasional massage, it would help you. Soothing music is helpful...or lighting a scented candle from time-to-time. Read something that will inspire you. When you read; you forget all your troubles and learn something in the process. If you can make time, choose a good movie to watch to just relax...or play engrossing computer games to get you mind off things. Surround yourself with people that make you feel secure and at peace. Prayer can be helpful...or keep a journal to help you sort out your thoughts. Take a nice leisurely walk. All, or any of these things will help you to get focused on something else...and your stress will be greatly reduced. If none of these things work for you; then perhaps you need to consult a physician. I hope this is helpful to you.

There are many ways of dealing with stress-related stomach aches. First, I would try a relaxation technique - perhaps visualizing your personal peaceful place (whether from a memory or imagined) Close your eyes, breath deeply and try to find a sense of peace. The deep breathing helps calm the nerves. Another choice would be to drink hot teas - chamomile or ginger or 'Tension Tamer'. Lastly, there's good ole pepto bismal as well :)

Been there! Short of getting rid of the stress or learning to live with it, antacids and bland foods. Avoid caffine and carbinated beverages. Try to keep a little food in your stomach at all times. The best bet is stress management. Try to find a local health clinc or group that offers classes.

I had this same problem so bad that I was put on Pantaloc. It's a really strong version of rolaids. They worked really good, but they costed a lot and I needed a prescription. If you want, you COULD try Valerian Root. It's a natural relaxant that you can buy in capsule form from any drug store. it, WILL, however, make you drowsy, so be cautious when using it. It has no other adverse side effects

Try to keep physically healthy by involving yourself in some sort of physical activity (e.g., jogging, skating, biking, walking, etc.).
Try to eat a well balanced diet and try not to skip meals.
Do YOUR BEST as opposed to trying to be PERFECT.
Talk about your stress to friends or family members who are supportive.
Learn how to relax yourself and your body through deep breathing exercises and muscle tension reduction exercises.
Do not use alcohol, drugs or any other mind altering substance to reduce your stress.
Recognize your negative thoughts (e.g., "that was a stupid thing I did") and replace them with more positive thoughts (e.g., "it's O.K. to make mistakes).
Make time for fun activities, its just as important as studying.
Get involved in a non academic activity such as intramural sports, art crafts, hobbies or anything that you find relaxing

Do you have IBS? If you do there is medication for that. Go talk to your doctor. Controlling your stress of course would help, but that's easier said than done. The doctor will give you meds for it.

Address the cause of the stress first then....if that doesnt yield results, i suggest an antacid now and then.

If you are young, I would DEFINATELY address the stress issue first . As you know, stress can kill!
