From such comments as "Executive privledge" during the Enron debacle to outright lying while in office, I have watched Our government turn from a governing body, doing the citizens bidding, to becoming an out of control, power hungry, profit oriented bunch of crooks. And the people let them do it. This will not change ubtil the citizens of the United States demand answers, and accountability from the government, and demand that those who seek to obtain, or hold office simply to rip off the U.S. public are brought to justice, without loopholes for them to squirm through. There must be an end to this behavior! On top of that, the U.S. is the country with the most WMD's in the world, and I would never want to see the U.S. as the Emporer of the world, calling policy for all who live here, no matter which couintry you live in.

The public (1) stopped caring, after being trained for years to care about more superficial things, and (2) has been less informed by the mainstream news media, which is mostly owned by five corporations with their own, non-neutral agenda.

When the Public starts to care about themselves, and not let the Courts tell them its "ok" to blame your Mother because she denied you a candy bar when you were three years old, and allows you to go and shoot up a whole lot of people because you have "issues", then we can take personal responsibility for ourselves, then police the Government Personnel who are responsible to US...the United States People...

No one who goes into Public Service, comes out 'clean'... They all get thier hands "dirty" through dirty dealings and the public is the one that gets shafted. There is really not much we can do about it, as Government is so big, unless a constituent does something, the little "man on the streets" cant do much!

I wish you well..

I understand what you are saying...however.....when has there ever been completel public accountablility in public office. Go way back in history...and you will find there was a lack of it then also..not that it's an excuse. There also have always been loopholes that they squirm thru. Time has changed but not history...it repeats itself. Pray hard for our leaders and that God give them guidance and a moral conscience.

Thats the result of a Republican controlled White House, Senate and House of Reps. The republicans have no ethics, only account ledgers to keep track of who owns them.

We are now living in a society where semantic, and creative morality has superceded righteousness.
