If Israel were to comply with all UN Resolutions passed regarding its occupation of Arab lands ( such as Resolution 242) would there be better chances for peace and security for all nations in the region?

Like Spunky Blind, I'm not from the Middle East, but I agree. The UN Resolution is gradually being honored by Israel, for example the recent withdrawal from Gaza. I don't believe that their neighbors respect the UN and its resolutions. They have their own agendas, which go against everything the UN stands for.

I know you are asking from Middle East primarily so you will probably want to disregard my answer. I just wanted to say "I don't think so". Not gonna happen. This region has been at war literally for thousands of years. I don't believe anything the U.N. or anyone else does will make the difference.
