The model # of the refrigerator is RS259ESDS. I'm looking for a replacement shelf. The shelf is metal/plastic around the edges and the actual shelf part is tempered glass. One of the shelves broke so there is a huge gap between the top shelf and the bottom shelf.

honestly tho, it's a really nice refrigerator. it still works perfectly. the only thing that's wrong with it is the shelf. i didn't even realize it until now that it's 17 years old. why fix it if it ain't broke? =)

The shelf should still be available. If you've tried Westinghouse and they say it's not there are a few other good options.

1) Sears service dept. has an extensive inventory of Westinghouse parts. (I spent way too many years working there)

2)Tote the remnants of the broken shelf (or one of the good ones) to a few of your local dealers and they should be able to match up a suitable replacement! There just aren't all that many different shelves out there.

3) Assuming it's just the glass that broke any large glass company can fit a new tempered glass panel into the frame (I did this once for a customer with a customized Sub-Zero).

I'm sorry dude but It's time to let it go...just take a big breath and let it go .You will always have the good times to remember, like when it was full of good food and cold beer. It's time to go to a big box store and drop some bucks on a new, energy rated unit
