if we allowed ourselves to soak in all of the "mess" we would all want to kill ourselves so instead we try to ignore all that is wrong with the world.... we become almost immune and instead try to enjoy the things which are good and soak in the beauty which does exist

Worry is letter things beyond your control influence you. Concern is actively doing what you can to change things that you do have some control over. Be concerned and try not to worry because the later will just eat you alive. Moreover, people who attack problems out of concern do seem happier if for no other reason then doing something gives them a feeling of being empowerd. You are right, the world is a real mess right not and people of conscience should be concerned.

You should not feel like you have to act happy to come across as confident because you can actually be coming off as upset and people think that you are faking being happy. It really isn't good for your health and emotions to pretend to feel happy when you really feel another way. You can exhaust yourself from pretending and your emotions can get mixed up and confused. If you want to come off as more confident you should just be yourself because the way you actually feel will make you feel confident because you know that you don't have to be something you're not. And besides, the way you actually feel can make people think that you're confident but how will you know until you try?

I don't know what you're talking about. I answered two questions this week from people who feel like committing suicide. That was in the Psychology section. Go to the Marriage and Divorce section and read the horror stories there.

It depends, for some people it is OK, for others it's a mess. Just try to be happy with what you have. Is it bad? Try to make it good!

Maybe because we care enough and start changing the world beginning on our neighborhood, so we have a good reason to be happy.

Because if you let your problems consume you and your everyday life then you're not really living your life, you're miserable.

I have my problems, but I deal with them and this is an escape from that.
