I luv the english i would do anything to be in England right now this second. i would love to raise my son there...

Hating the English for things that happened centuries ago is plainly stupid!
It's futile and self defeating to be angry with someone who died two hundred years ago.
It's also ridiculous to be filled with angst against someone who actually may not even be really descended from that person.
It's just an excuse to be nasty to people.
In fact if you're the kind of person who carries hate like that then you probably are worse and would do more terrible things than the long-dead people you despise.
Only you just don't have the power.
I'm British, English and from 'colonial' and Irish descent.
If anyone has a right to hate colonial Britain it's someone like me.
But colonial Britain is dead and so are the colonists.
Oh and for those who didn't get an education...
Try looking up Wilberforce and Sharp.
English, priviledged, colonial era, wealthy, titled, white, etc.
Try hating them without looking completely ignorant!
Let it go.

Goldwing... what the hell are you taking..? The English language belongs to us...... The English , so how can we not speak proper English? lol @ you.
As for the question I dont think they do hate the Brits. People are just banging on about what used to be and is no more, they are still living in the past. If thats not the case then maybe they are jealous. Of what?? I do not know.
I for one am very proud to be British & English and hold know grudges on anybodys country/race/colour etc etc.
We should forget the bad past and live for the good future.

well im welsh(very proud to be too) and probably the most hated nationality where the english are concerned, i dont hate the english as such but i do have a problem with those english people who incite racial hatred against the welsh.
in answer to your question the english are hated (particularly by the welsh and scots) because of the history that went down all those years ago ie william the conqueror (who wasnt even english btw) invaded wales along with his english soldiers and trampled on our land, raped our women, and turned a perfectly capable nation into one of dependence. not sure wot happend with scotland has something to do with wiliam wallace. Or it could be the sharing the border thing, i have noticed that most countries that share a border usually hate each other.
I know its not your fault, and you re not held personally responsible but that is why the english are hated by the other british countries. As for why the americans dont like us well you will have to ask them that!!
Sorry about the history lesson but i had to get the point across.
ps someone answered that people from great britain go on about it being GREAT - its the americans who bang on about 'THEIR GREAT NATION'

I don't hate ALL english people, i hate some of the people i know that english my reasons are,
Cause they make out England is so great, they are tight fuc!ers, always has to be right, and when england is in the world cup they make out that they are so good and will win and then when they lose they blame the other team for cheating, i mean can't you english people take a beating??? seriously.
Oh and you don't admit your country does wrong, make it out to be god's gift.
Im scottish, and i know alot of scottish ppl hate the english and i mean everyone of you, i don't i just dont agree with some things you guys do, and i don't like the way my friends (that are english) make out that england is so high and mighty.

Speaking as an English lass living in Scotland, it's mostly to do with history. Most of my Scottish and foreign friends were taught about the English domination of the world (Braveheart ring any bells?) so that is pretty much what it's founded on. Unfortunately it's just going to be a case of waiting for the prejudice to die out rather then being able to do anything about it!

I've met many english and many are quite nice people, but there's always a tendency of english of feeling superior to others, of thinking that they are at the top of the world and the rest of the world are slaves, when the world is huge there are 7 continents and hundreds of countries with intelligent people.

Well lets see...The United Kingdom holds 45,265,093 people of English decent, The United States 28,410,295, Australia 6.4 million,Canada 5,978,875 and so on and so forth. Seems to me that not many people hate you, or they would have cleaned up their countries.
That is if you are truly a decendent of an Englishman.

I wouldnt say cos :
1. if youre black and you call yourself british thats crap. You better find who you truely are what nationality youre from cos there's like a new law not sure that if one that is not originally a white british should commit any seroius offence, they might send he or she back to their native country. So if you call yourself black cos you are nationalised by birth, marriage,by registration or whatever youre going back home where you wouldnt even be welcomed even if your are yould be like a stranger in yor own country. Where would you be....IN THE MIDDLE!
2. To answer the question if you truely are an original white british, then you shld understand that there will be haters,beefers and definately racist.

People do not hate English.It is the most popular language in the world.Britons are respected all over the world.Moslems hate English because UK supports USA in killing innocent Muslims in Iran and Iraque.Britons loose their respect ,because they are loosing their identity due to their blind following of USA.
