Can anyone give me some details on it. All I can find on the internet is curving it with the inside.

You hit the ball hard. If you hit it with the right foot, you hit the left side of the ball and the curve will be on the left. To make the ball curve to the right, you'll have to use the inside of the foot. Practice. It looks hard but it is easy.

to hit it straight use your intep of the foot (the area where the laces are). to curve it on the inside kick the ball using the inside of the foot, & the outisde if you want to curve it the other way around. if you type "instep drive" & "curl soccer ball" on youtube you'll find plenty that will help.
