depends on when she is supposed to ovulate.. normally the most prone times for a woman to get pregnant is right after she has her period and then again 14 days into her cycle.. as long as she has a 28 day cycle.. after that, get first response, it works the best, and she could take it one week before her period is due; get a multi pack just incase that way she can take another one a week later just to make sure.. if you two don't want to use condoms, suggest her going on the shot, depo.. no periods, and she doesn't have to worry about getting pregnant.. she only has to take the shot once ever three months, that way you both won't have to worry about getting pregnant..

It's best to wait 14 days post ovulation/possible conception to take a test (the pg hormone is detected somewhat earlier in some women, 8 days at the earliest, but somewhat later in some women as well). First Response detects lower levels of the hormone than other home pregnancy tests, so she might be able to get an earlier result using that test than others. If she tests and gets a negative, she needs to wait another couple of days and test again if she still hasn't gotten her period.

I knew the next day. I had read all the books and magazines and knew what to look for. The first thing I noticed was that I started running to pee constantly. This is because the baby sits directly on the bladder. Within 2 weeks her nipples should begin to change. They will get fatter and darker in color.
The LAST thing that I noticed was missing my monthly. That was the LAST thing for me. By that time, I already knew.
If you all didn't want a baby, what on Earth were you thinking of by NOT taking precautions?!

Don't use the pull out method unless you want to get someone pregnant.
