I saw some Squirrels playing with a Chipmunk the other day. Two different animals that never played together before, just played in harmony. Yet, the second I step outside, the Squirrels and chipmunks run. When I go to the park, I see three or four different kinds of birds chirping together, yet when I walk up to them they fly away.

Humans were labled Animals, technically we are animals. Yet, why do animals run from us? Have we lost all sense of harmony with animals? Have we evolved into something to get rid of our peace with animals? Is it because we have killed so many off, that they are just afraid of us?

Adam and Eve could live in harmony with them, and we can't. What do you think is the reason for our loss of friendship with animals?

What a profound observation! Perhaps it is inherent in our nature to be suspicious of anything we aren't familiar with...and the same can be said for the animals of the wilderness. It's a survival tool that is built into us. I do know people who commune with nature on a regular basis and seem to be at one with their surroundings (a truly beautiful thing). Maybe your critters are just of the city variety!

I really like it, but I do have a suggestion. I really like your concepts, but I think that your poem is a little "wordy." It makes your poem sound more like a story. A poem is the perfect word in the perfect place, so keep that in mind. You also want a sort of rhythm, and it's hard to see that in your poem. Try taking out excess words and see what it sounds like. (If you want to, of course) I hope that helped! And, don't take my feedback the wrong way. I really do love it. Especially, "And the new day destroyed the world. the creator said it was too far gone. when nature sang a human song."

We are, unfortunately, the top predator. All animals instinctively sense this, including me!

1) Animals run away from each other all the time.

2) You're much bigger than they are and they instinctively fear you.
