It was Ginger who discovered him around 1:30 in the afternoon that day, after he did not respond to her queries at his bathroom door. Finding it unlocked, she pushed on it and encountered him laying on the floor, facedown in a pool of vomit, his pajama bottoms around his ankles. To spare the distraught woman's feelings and ease her emotional burden, the discovery story was somewhat sanitized in its initial release to the press, particularly regarding the part she had played in the traumatic event, his state of undress and the bodily function in which he had surely been engaged. Only later did it become common knowledge that Elvis had died while trying to defecate

The story given by those close to Elvis was that he'd died in the bathroom - however, would those close to the man deemed the King of Rock n Roll really say such a thing. Would they in all honesty demean and degrade such a person as Elvis in this way - I THINK NOT!!!!!! The true debate should be whether he actually died that day or not, not the way that he was 'found'. Let the debate begin ..................

Elvis isnt dead, he's gone home. Geez haven't you seen the true to life documentry "Men in Black". Which starsTommy Lee Jones Who clearly states "Elvis isnt dead he's just gone home". to his new assistant,Will Smith. This is a man who works for the government so he wouldn't lie. So look into the light and repeat after me-- Elvis is not dead he's just gone home....Flash!!!!!!! everythings cleared up.

That can't be proven. He did die of an overdose and was found in the bathroom. As of right now it's a myth just like so much other deaths like thelma todd and marilyn monroe.
