Its all because of the fundamentalist so-called Christian right (they aren't either) and the fact Bush is one of them. A little Bible-thumping will get you a lot of votes with the redneck good ole boys. People are like sheep - especially the fundamentalist types - and when you start waving God in their faces, they fall right in line. Not to mention, the average IQ of the American people seems to have fallen to the level of Bush - about 96 - and they voted for one of their own.

Remember, he wasn't elected the first time, he was appointed -- and more people voted for Gore overall. Having said that, the republicans did a good job of disguising his buffoonery. The press went along and helped make a ne'er-do-well son of privilege appear to be a regular guy while making Gore out to be a loony.

The second time the democrats nominated the wrong person.

No respect for IQ, as evidenced by nerdbashing. Also, the fact that education is mistaken for intelligence, so the pseudo-intellectualism of academentia gives IQ a bad name.

The right to inheritance and other birth privileges that made a zero like Bush reach such heights are viewed superstitiously as the will of God. Only a Mama's Boy who hates his father for not getting rich and spoiling him supports such privileges. So, if you accept any rights that the rich give to themselves, you have no right to condemn Americans for thinking that this stupid little boy is a real man.

To tell you the truth I don't remember Clinton's election very well.

And if you really think Gore had more votes, you're wrong. The Democrats couldn't handle losing so they made them recount over and over. The Supreme Court did the right thing.

There are FAR too many voting folks that don't give one whit about politics...think they don't really have a voice. Until our country becomes a more thinking nation...and honestly, that just isn't going to happen...we are doomed to the power of just a few.
