Stuyvesant High School in New York City.
Stuyvesant is arguably the best public high school in the nation.
Its graduates have won a total of FOUR Nobel Prizes. Joshua Lederberg, 1958 Nobel Prize in Medicine, Robert Fogel, 1993 Nobel Prize in Economics, Ronald Hoffmann, 1981 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and my classmate, Richard Axel, 2004 Nobel Prize in Medicine .
We have a large roster of famous entertainers including Charlie's Angels star Lucy Liu, Tim Robbins, Ron Silver, Ben Gazzara, Sheldon Leonard and legendary actors Jimmy Cagney and George Raft. Joseph L. Mankiewicz, four-time Oscar-winning producer was also a graduate.
Our graduates are also prominent in politics including political consultant Dick Morris, Congressman Jerry Nadler, Watergate prosecutor Richard Ben-Veniste, and Civil Rights leader Roy Innis.
