MINERAL MAKEUP is the answer!

It looks natural, and makes your skin look flawless, even with scars, acne, skin discolorations, freckles, anything you want to cover invisibly. It never runs or fades or clogs your pores. You can even SWIM in it, because it's water-resistant for up to 30 minutes or so, so imagine how sweating and humidity won't make it run! Feels sheer and light, so it doesn't overheat your face! Also has a natural 15 to 30 SPF, which everyone needs to keep the sun from damaging and aging their skin.

Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals is the most famous - and the most expensive. You don't have to spend that much! Do a search for 'mineral makeup' on eBay - many, many brands of mineral makeup to choose from, and lots of great deals!!

I've been using the stuff for 2 years and I will NEVER go back! It's completely amazing stuff, and I wish I'd known about it years ago!

P.S. I tried the new L'Oreal one in a pinch. It's okay, but I'll never buy it again. It was too grainy, chunky.. it didn't go on as smooth and light as I'm used to.

Honestly, not for me.

Although my skin is clear, I have hyperpigmentation, kind of a ruddy complexion, and Bare Minerals did NOTHING to help this at all. It did not cover at all. It makes and excellent loose power over a liquid foundation, but it's far too expensive to use it for that purpose alone. I sent it back to Sephora for a refund, and I NEVER send anything back.

If you have a fairly good complexion, it works well as something light to give a nice, even, soft look.

However, if you're looking for something that covers, I'd look elsewhere.

Personally, I started using MAC's Studio Fix, and I've never looked back. I spent years looking for the right foundation, and nothing has ever worked as well and matched my skin tone so closely.

Hope this helps!

I don't know about Bare Minerals, but there are several alternatives:
naturesbeautyshop.com
Arbonne Mineral Foundation
Everyday Minerals

They are all cheaper than Bare Minerals.

Not really, you can get the same effect with L'orels new mineral makeup or Everyday Minerals

to me it is but L'oreal just came out with this new makeup called Bare Neutrals and it is just like bare minerals only a lot more affordable. you can find it at any major supercenter like walmart or any drugstore like Walgreens. this stuff is really good and you know that you can count on it because l'oreal is owned by Lancome

I really like it. My face isn't as oily as it used to be and my skin is smooth and clear.
It might seem expensive, but it lasts me a long time.
If you want to try it, I recommend finding it on Ebay--it's quite a bit cheaper there. Then, if you don't like it, you won't be out of so much money.

I have had good luck with this brand and have even turned some of my friends to it.

Nope, it's much to expensive and doesn't live up to the hype. I thought it was just me, so I spent an hour at Sephora having someone teach me how to use it and do a full makeover. It just wasn't all that it was hyped to be.

My best friend swears by it and her skin always looks good too, very even and smooth, not pancakey or powdery either.

Sadly, I can't afford it, so I don't know.
