The question itself is boring and non-imaginative in my opinion. Everyone says it and most really answer the same way. "Oh, pretty good" etc or answer a question with a question "What's up?, Answer: What's up? I never understood that, but i normally respond with something new or answer the question. Example. "Doing Great!", "I'm am pretty busy with...". Etc.
