Yes, I have heard that it does help with detox - and so much more - as long as it's RAW, UNFILTERED apple cider vinegar.
I add about a tablespoon of this to my morning glass of water.
(Be sure you brush your teeth well after this, though, as it is a powerful acid that can eat thru tooth enamel.)

Apple cider vinegar or any vinegar is acetic acid. It is a weak organic acid, this is orders of magnitude less acidic then the hydrochloric acid produced by the stomach. It has no effect on stomach acidity, but I am sure it tastes good. It will have no effect on the so called "toxins" except to say that when you drink apple cider vinegar now you have just added something else you body has to get rid of. So in a sense you are actually toxifying your body.

Hi an good 1/2 hour before you have your breakfast, 1 tablespoon of cider in one mug of boiled water that you first cool of until warm then put apple cider vinegar in and drink it. 1/2 hour before so that it can do its work before you start eating. The effects are detoxing and stabilizing of your acid and alkaline level, also a better cell life.

No. Your kidneys and liver handle detox. It doesn't need vinegar. The 'detoxing' thing is nonsense.

Apple cider vinegar helps make your stomach more acidy. This is one of the foods recommended in a complete diet to balance the yeast (Candida albicans), which, if out of balance can do nasties, including nail fungus, thrush, jock itch, vaginitis, etc.
Alone, it can help, but not cure (in my opinion).
