Im a shy girl and i get nervous very easily. When this guy and I were getting back from the movies I sort of said something i didn't mean to say...he didn't talk to me for two weeks. It's been a month or so now and I want to tell him that I didn't mean what I said. Should I? Or should I just leave it?
If you are wondering what I said it was, "Thanks, I really needed to get out of the house." I didn't want to...it was my nerves and he took it the wrong way. : (

If he's not an @$$ he'll listen, especially if he likes you. I think it's good you were honest. There's always a point where you should draw the line, but you didn't cross it. So i think you should move on if he can't take appreciation. I'm shy around new people & get nervous around the guy i like too. You're not alone on this one.

Well you should tell him you are sorry and tell him what you really meant to say. Honestly, you probably should have told him sooner but its not too late. To get over my shyness, I finally decided that I don't care what other people think of me. I love myself for who I am; I've worked hard to get to where I am, and I'm proud of myself. I have a lot of wonderful things to offer, and if others can't see that, then do I really want them in my life? Why should I care what they think? Once I really believed this for myself, not just told myself it but truly feel it in my heart, then the shyness sort of melts away. It gives me this resevoir where I can pull strength from whenever I need it. And don't worry about saying the wrong thing sometimes, it happens to all of us. Just try your best to apologize and clarify what you meant. You can't totally undo the damage, but usually you can make it way less bad. Good luck.

Leave it. Your window of opportunity is gone. You should have said something right after you said it.
