Good point, Dianamite.
It didn't really sound racial...why would it have been toward his own grandchildren, but it was not a good choice of words.

I guess I'd have to hear the entire conversation and know HOW it was said. I have a friend who is black (NOT African-American - she's not from Africa and having that assumed really makes her angry!), and if I'm pointing her kids out to my kids I describe them as the "ones with the brown skin". It's just an easy way to find them in a crowd - no different than if I said "the blonde one" or "the really tall one". It's certainly not meant as an insult, and I know she'd never think it was.

So, I can't assume there was any insult intended. But, I guess some people are always anxious to think an insult was intended whether there really was any truth to it or not!

A grand father can say what he likes about his grand kids.

Besides, where are you when terms like "white folks" and "cracker" are being used? Did you write a letter to Chris Rock telling him what a racist he is? OR how bout Carlos Mensia, is he a racist cause he makes fun of people based on stereotypes and race?

We've become too sensitive and divided along racial lines.

If it's my President, it's yours as well. When a country decided to force the whole population to go along with what 6% of the population decides, things are obviously going to go wrong.

In case you didn't catch that: 50% of the population is eligible to vote, 50% of those people actually register (down to 25%), 50% of those people actually vote (down to 12.5%), and most elections are decided on a 49.9999 vs 50.000001% split, so we're at 6.25% of the population. Great system.
